Mr Brown said, "I'm a newcomer to fly fishing, and went to a local trout lakes a couple of days ago for the first time, and was unsure of what to expect. I was dismayed to find that the fishing was rock hard. Unfazed by this i turned to my 'Hot Bead Bugger' which has taken a few fish the last time I was on the bank. Needless to say I was the only man to catch that day on the whole of the two pools, after landing 3 nice trout up to 4lbs. Great fly!"

Had great fun with the flush foam floater in a flat calm on Friday. Nothing else interested them, but I rose about 20 fish in succession with the FFF. unfortunately pulled it out of their mouths every time, so either striking too quickly or too slowly...Simon Sinclair

I just want to tell you that I got a 7KG salmon on the Lady Caroline the other day. Difficult fishing at the moment, close to 30 deg celsius and low water.
Still have not tried the Monster Monkey or the Orange Agent due to low water. I think the Orange Agent and Monster Monkey on smal plastick tubes could be nice here during summer time.

Just received my black midge Klinks (hi viz posts). Not often mail order flies exceed expectations, but these are first rate. Something I would use with absolute confidence on my chalkstream. Perfect for searching. I would love to see similar smaller dries and bead head nymphs, say 14 through to 18's. Maybe some f-flies and more Klinks.?? Really, really happy. My new "go-to" fly I think.
