BILLY PATE "BONE-FISH" SERIES

The world famous "BILLY PATE" series of fly reels was conceived & built by precision engineer Ted Juracsick in 1976. Ted, was the youngest ever Hungarian to win the national Masterpapers in the tool & die trade at the age of 17.

He met & became friends with Billy when he came to the U.S. they shared a love of fly-fishing. Billy told Ted of his woes with the then currently available reels. They corroded, jammed & had all sorts of
other mechanical issues.

So Ted set about improving the design & build quality.

He released the first "anti-reverse" Tarpon reel in 1976, named after his friend. He has continued to advance reel technology ever since, the rest of the reel manufacturers, now copy his leads.

Lefty Kreh, says these are the finest reels he's ever used.
